Mixed cyanotype solutions have few days shelf life. Here is an old formula to keep this liquid indefinitely.

One of the drawbacks that occurs in cyanographic mixed solutions is that of altering in a short time (few days).
Here is an old formula (drawn from a 1912 photographic recipe book) that allows to store the liquid indefinitely and that always gives excellent results.

The following three solutions are prepared:

Solution A
Water Water ...................................... 50 ml
Ammonium iron(III) citrate brown ........ 2 gr
Ammonium iron(III) citrate green ......... 8 gr

Solution B
Water ................................................. 35 ml
Potassium ferricyanide ...................... 10 gr

Solution C
Water ................................................. 20 ml
Chloral hydrate .................................... 5 gr

Mix up the three solutions and add:

Rectified alcohol ................................ 20 ml

Keep in a brown bottle and in a place not too exposed to light.

Caution: in the formula concentration, chloral hydrate works as a strong antiseptic but keep in mind that as is, chloral is also an hypnotic sedative that acts reducing the activity of the central nervous system. So it's mandatory to use gloves and read MSDS.

I tried the formula without using the brown Ammonium iron(III) citrate and using normal 95° alcohol (not the methylated red spirit). Coating was done with rod on normal hot pressed cotton paper, exposed, developed an dried as usual.
